Starting Transplant Process

Trent got through this weeks chemo. Even though we encourage him to eat, he usually does not like to eat during chemo, which might be a good thing? Maybe he knows something we don't? Probably.
Kristie, Grant and I are getting tested for the bone marrow transplant. The coordinator said they are looking at DNA, so it's swab out of the mouth. Sounds easy?
I don't know much about the process, but the transplant needs to happen at the end of the 15 week chemo treatment. I have some close friends who have been through this process and it sounds like a life saver.
Trent's Home Hospital teachers are going to come to CHOC to finish up his junior year studies. His teachers have been a major help in keeping life going while Trent battles the good fight. Thank God for the heart in those people. Trent has school from 8am to 10am today, so it's probably not a good time to visit. The rest of today and the remainder of this week are OK for visiting. Hours are 8am to 8pm.
