Trent started his radiation treatment this week.
He has treatment Mon thru Thur and checks into CHOC on Friday.
The radiation treatments are very short and have not seemed to cause any effects.
Trent will continue to have radiation and chemo treatments while at CHOC.
I think he gets a day off the day before the transplant.
The transplant is scheduled for 11/12.
Trents spirits are high this week.

Friday
We had our BMT meeting yesterday and Trent's doctor needed to go over all the worst case effects of radiation, chemotherapy and bone marrow transplants.
Not a real fun meeting, but Trent signed all the consent forms and we are on schedule to start the out patient radiation treatments next week prior to checking into CHOC on Friday 11/1/13.
Friday will start the 11 day countdown to the BMT on 11/12/13.
The donor will be giving his donation on the same day. Must be local??
Trent was depressed yesterday.
Talking about survival rate percentages and scheduling that does not get Trent back to VPHS until late in the semester just did not lift his spirits.
Please pray that Trent will find some way to take count of the blessings that he has been given in his local hospital, caring doctors and nurses,a donor that was found the first day of reviewing the database, family/friends/church that love him dearly and a God that will never let him down.

Trent's counts were up yesterday and the doctors have put him back on schedule.
I need a updated schedule, but I believe Trent will check into CHOC on Nov 1 to start the count down treatment to a Nov 12 transplant.
Trent will get some outpatient radiation treatments prior to Nov 1.

Trent goes in for blood tests today.

Trent's white count is low, so the doctors have requested to push out the Bone Marrow Transplant one week to 11/12.
Going into CHOC and all other schedules get delayed by one week which is fine. Happens all the time.
Trent got his motor into the Willys yesterday. I'll post some pictures later today.

Trent's test went well yesterday. He needed some platelets as well

Trent is doing very well. Lots of energy.
He has several tests today and next Tuesday to get ready for the Bone Marrow Transplant.
The BMT is scheduled for Nov 5 and it looks like that date is firming up.
I got a email from the BMT coordinator today and she said that
"the donor, in conjunction with the Donor Center and Collection Center are working diligently toward this date".
Trent will need to go into CHOC around 8 days prior to 11/5 to start the preparations.
Keep the prayers coming for Trent and his donor!
