Wednesday

Trent has been doing great since coming home Saturday.
He went to church on Sunday, school started on Monday and he and Grant went to the youth group pool party last night.
Trent has a one day treatment coming up the second week of September, but he has lots of time off chemo the next month.
Keep the prayers coming. Transplant should be late September or early October.

Thursday

Trent is doing well in this treatment session.
The chemo is on the lighter side and it does not seem to knock him out like the others.
He does not have to make blood count to be release, so he will go home on Saturday.
He will have one more treatment after this week, but he pretty much gets the next four weeks off.

Monday

Trent had a great weekend.
We celebrated his birthday on Friday and went to dinner, we went to a car show & went to the Peterson museum on Saturday and they went to Disneyland all day on Sunday.
Today Trent goes in for his last chemo treatment on the 5 week schedules.
Not sure how long he will be in on this treatment, but I would guess one to two weeks.

Tuesday

Trent has been doing very well since getting home from CHOC.
The doctors have OK'd the delay for the next treatment so Trent can enjoy his 18th birthday.
The next treatment is a lighter chemo and the stay at CHOC should be short.
The bone marrow transplant should be towards the end of September.

Saturday

Trent is out of CHOC.
He will be on antibiotics for awhile and we delayed his nest treatment until the 19th.

Friday, August 9, 2013

Friday night

Trent has pneumonia.
It's not real bad, but he will need to be at CHOC for at least 48 hours.
He's not real happy about going back to CHOC, but that's understandable.
Please pray that Trent's spirits stay inline through these challenges.

Friday

Trent developed a fever yesterday over 101.
We had to readmit him back to CHOC for a 24 to 48 hour observation.
Standard procedure for fevers is antibiotics, blood work and cultures.

Wednesday, again

Trent got released and he is at home!

Wednesday

Trent's count went to 1200 yesterday!
Nurses said that if all goes well, Trent will be released today!
It's been a long month.
Thanks for all your prayers. Keep them coming. We will start the third 5week session soon and then bone marrow transplant.

Tuesday

Trent's ANC went to 500 yesterday! WOW!
The doctors will want to see that maintain around 500 for a day or two before releasing Trent from CHOC.
He had a fever the night before last, but no fever yesterday. So the doctors will also continue to review that he does not have fevers.
Thanks for all your prayers! Keep um coming!

Monday

Trent's ANC (kind of white count) number was 24 yesterday. Up from 8 on Saturday.
So he is doing better.
He needs to be around 500 to be released from CHOC.
He needs to be over 250 to have visitors.
He needs to be over 1500 to go to public places.
Please pray that Trent's blood counts gain strength!

Sunday

Trent's white counts are slowly going up.
He has been getting platelets and whole blood this week.
His energy level is slowly getting better. Kristie and Trent played ping-pong yesterday.
It's a slow process, but Trent should be released soon.
